More wax tablets

Make a wax book

Make a few wax tablets then attach them together with two holes punched at the side and fixed together with ribbon or string. You now have a wax book.

On your wax tablets you could write a story about being stuck in wax (candle or ear wax!), information about a topic you are working on in school or one poem on each tablet.

Display it in the school achievement assembly and/or classroom display.

Make a coloured wax book

Dye the wax with food colouring or clothes dye. Does it change colour?

Make a wax book or even a class wax book that has a variety of coloured pages. Try different types of dye and experiment with natural dyes such as grass or summer fruits.
