Make a horn book that can be used for revision notes

Follow the instructions on how to make a horn book in activity one. Your text could be revision notes that you need to remember for exams and a horn book is a nice way of protecting them.

You could make a selection of horn books and connect them at the handle with a piece of string and a hole. You could have one horn book per subject. You could also keep replacing the text with updated notes.

Make a horn book that can be used everyday

Follow the instructions on how to make a horn book in activity one. Keep changing the text so that it is a timetable of your day, things to do or even a shopping list.

The horn book was used on a daily basis to help children learn their prayers etc. You could have your favourite poem, information about your favourite pop group or a thought for the day in your horn book and change this every week.

This is a horn book that was made with a group of children in a British Library workshop. The children drew their own face and stuck it in a large horn book.
