paper strip books
 Make
a paper strip book called "Hopes for the future"
Follow
the instructions in activity one and make a paper
strip book. Make it about hopes for the future or wishes that you have.
Such as "I hope that I pass my exams" or "I wish to be
happy". Each strip will be a hope and you could keep adding to it
as the year goes on. Or it could be a continuous diary of events that
have happened in your lifetime or to your family.
Can you think of an unusual
way of using this type of book? A book which does not have a clear beginning,
middle or end?
 Make
a paper strip book for a poem
Write a poem which is about
anything you wish: school, the seasons, war, peace etc. Make sure that
it does not have a clear beginning or end. It may help to write your ideas
in a brainstorm or spider diagram so that there is no obvious first line.
Write each line on one of your
strips. Everyone in your class or school could write a line to make a
really big poem.
>>Try
reading your poem
Do you always start in the
same place?
How could you record all
the different poems that can be read from this type of book?
Which poem from your strip
book did you like and why?
