The British Library's Education Service is committed to supporting classroom teaching through a variety of methods. As part of the Words Alive! project it has supplied outreach support to all the project schools. The project manager, Maggie Chadwick, delivered an average of ten workshops each term for the project schools in Camden and so helped to provide additional access to the Library's collections.

The workshops were based on the five project themes and activities suggested in the topics.

Here are a few examples of the work that was produced in the workshops at The British Library and in class as a follow-up activity. The schools have used a variety of the resources that you will find on this website.
